Therapeutic work with trauma doesn't just happen at the mental level—the body also holds memories, protective patterns, and automatic responses developed over time. For this reason, at Ser Integral we integrate somatic movement as an essential part of our clinical and training services.
Through conscious body approaches, such as therapeutic movement sessions and somatic regulation, we create conditions to restore inner security, develop body awareness, and support the regulation of the nervous system.
Somatic movement allows us to work gradually and respectfully with states of hyperactivation, anxiety, dissociation, freezing, or bodily disconnection frequently associated with trauma. By including the body in the therapeutic process, it becomes possible to promote greater emotional integration, presence, stability, and the ability to relate to oneself and others.
At Ser Integral, we understand the body not only as a support for experience, but as a fundamental resource in the process of healing, integration, and transformation.
